Moreland Hills HVAC, Boiler and Plumbing Service

Driveways in Moreland Hills are long, wooded and often steep, which changes how a service truck reaches the house and how an outdoor unit gets placed. Raber HVAC works the village from Chagrin Boulevard down through the streets near the Garfield birthplace site on SOM Center Road, servicing multi zone systems, boilers, heat pumps and the plumbing that goes with them.

  • Service for multiple systems, zones and radiant heat in one house
  • Boiler repair and replacement on acre plus wooded lots
  • Outdoor unit relocation and screening that keeps airflow clear
  • Water heater, drain and repipe plumbing

What Moreland Hills houses ask of a heating and cooling system

Village zoning sets a two acre minimum lot size across most of Moreland Hills, so the village is mostly custom homes: mid century moderns from the 1950s and 1960s with radiant floors or ductwork buried in slabs, alongside larger builds from the 1990s onward. Square footage spread across wings means several systems in one house, and they rarely all age at the same rate.

Much of the village drains toward the Chagrin River and the South Chagrin Reservation, and heavy tree cover drops leaves and seed straight into condenser coils every fall. Some homes also sit well back from the road on private wells, and where natural gas service does not reach, propane or an electric heat pump becomes the real conversation.

Moreland Hills heating and cooling questions

If yours is not here, call and ask. We would rather answer it now than have you guess.

Ask us directly

Our house has three separate systems. Do you service all of them on one visit?

Yes. Larger Moreland Hills homes commonly run two or three systems plus a boiler for radiant zones, and we schedule enough time to go through each one properly. Tell us how many units the house has when you book, so the visit is scheduled for all of them.

Can equipment be hidden so it does not affect the look of the property?

Usually. Outdoor units can be relocated to a side yard, set behind screening or grouped on a single pad, provided clearance and airflow are respected. On wooded lots we also plan for leaf fall, since a coil packed with debris in October is the reason a system struggles in July.

Do you cover the Chagrin Valley after hours?

Moreland Hills is inside our regular service area, along with the rest of eastern Cuyahoga County and into Geauga and Portage. Regular hours run 8 AM to 10 PM every day, and the 24/7 emergency line covers the overnight stretch when a furnace or a boiler fails.
